Adrian Cota
Adrian Cota is a Mexican-born artist, producer, and songwriter blending Latin rhythms, soul, funk, and pop into a bold, modern sound. Signed to HYBE Latin America as an artist and Kobalt Music as a songwriter, he studied at Berklee College of Music before touring with legends like Herbie Hancock, Arturo Sandoval, Juanes, and more. In 2015, he rose to international recognition as a member, songwriter, and producer of Cody Simpson’s band Cody & The Tide, whose music reached the iTunes Top 10. Recently, he co-wrote and produced the official anthem for Major League Soccer with Take A Daytrip and Fuerza Regida.
As a producer, Cota continues to make a global impact across contemporary Latin music. His writing and production on “Déjame Dormir” by Codiciado & Carín León ranked #18 on Billboard’s Regional Mexican Airplay chart. His production on “Mucho Más Que Ayer” by Manuel Medrano was recognized by Rolling Stone en Español as one of the Best Songs of 2025, ranking #10 on their annual list, while Medrano’s album Superior ranked #19 on their 50 Great Albums of 2025.
Known for his explosive live energy, Cota’s background as a world-class drummer sets him apart as one of the few artists who can deliver captivating vocals while playing drums at the highest level. This dual mastery makes him a true innovator, merging rhythm with pop showmanship. Often described as the Latin answer to Anderson .Paak and Bruno Mars, with the timeless romance and vocal power of Luis Miguel, Cota is forging a new lane in contemporary Latin music. He is currently collaborating with Codiciado, Manuel Medrano, Carín León, Alejandro Fernández, Xavi, Thalía, Jasiel Nuñez, and Matisse while crafting his debut solo album bridging Latin heritage with global pop ambition.
