ADRIAN COTA
Adrian Cota is a Mexican-born drummer, producer, composer, music director and vocalist. He started playing drums at the age of five, touring Mexico with his family’s band. By age 13, he received a scholarship to study at Berklee College of Music in Boston. Cota’s career includes touring with Herbie Hancock, Antonio Hart, Bob Mintzer, Arturo Sandoval, Juanes and Donavon Frankenrieter. He gained global recognition as a core member of Cody Simpson’s band, Coast House, and produced Simpson’s records, which charted in the top 11 on the iTunes Top 100 chart. Cota has also produced records for other artists, including Ryan Beatty and Eli Teplin. He is currently working with Babyjake and Mon Laferte on a new project, “Love Don’t Come Easy.” Cota’s achievements have been featured in publications such as Billboard, Rolling Stone and Drum Magazine.
