Adrian Cota is a Mexican-born drummer, producer, songwriter and artist. He started playing drums at the age of five, touring Mexico with his family’s band. He studied at Berklee College of Music in Boston and has toured with Herbie Hancock, Antonio Hart, Bob Mintzer, Arturo Sandoval, Juanes and Donavon Frankenrieter. In 2015 he gained global recognition as a core member, songwriter and producer of Cody Simpson’s band Cody & The Tide, whose record charted in the top 10 on the iTunes Top 100 chart during his tenure. Recently, he partnered with Apple to write and produce the official anthem for the MLS (Major League Soccer), which he collaborated on with producer duo Take A Daytrip (Lil NasX, Kid Cudi, Kanye West), and Fuerza Regida. He’s currently working with El Bebeto, Codiciado and Camila as a songwriter and producer on their upcoming albums as well as his own debut album that blends together his love of regional Mexican music, soul, funk, and pop.
